New Delta Policy as FIT Rolls Out New Security and Export Fees

Please see below memo from Delta and SMLT management in regards to new FIT security/export fees:

January 27, 2025

Due to the implementation of FIT charging the companies $61.98 for Export Scale charges and Security fees beginning February 1 ,2025. Delta Trucking Service Inc. and SMLT Trucking, Inc. will be passing down a $85.00 charge for any EXPORT container sailing from Florida International Terminal (FIT) in Port Everglades.

Please note that these fees are claimed daily and invoiced with 7 day payment terms. Any party can log in and pay them without being affiliated to your company. With the new process, any party—Truckers, BCOs, Shippers, etc.—will have the flexibility to "claim" booking fees throughout the day and make payments against a single invoice or automate the payment at the end of the day if desired. This will be required for a trucking company to make appointments for export bookings.  Please note that you may incur additional charges is fees are not paid in a timely fashion, such as missed trips, waiting time, etc…
